Bangers and mash BBQ style

Serves 4

450g/1lb any variety of McCartney's Sausages
4 large baking potatoes
90ml/6tbsp semi-skimmed milk
100g/4oz Cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp Mustard
3 tbsp chives, chopped

Microwave the potatoes until soft, approximately 15-20 minutes. Slice in half lengthways and scoop out the centre.

Mash and mix with the milk, cheese, mustard and chives. Pile back into the shells and place onto a preheated barbecue to brown.The potatoes should go melted and gooey and if you have a covered barbecue, they will brown nicely.

Meanwhile, place the sausages onto a preheated barbecue and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until thoroughly cooked.

Serve the bangers and mash with some fresh salads from our delicatessen counter.
