We're Hiring - Full Time Barista

McCartney's of Moira, based in Moira, Co. Down, require a full-time permanent member of staff to work in our busy Café Bistro.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion and flair for coffee to work for our award-winning business. 

Full Time Barista - 37 Hours per week

Day time hours over 5 days Mon to Sat on a rota basis. Off Sundays along with an alternate weekday as dictated by rota. But please note all staff are required to work the Sunday before Christmas each year if the shop decides to open.

Typical shifts could be 08.00-Close* (*which is around 5pm) 9.30-Close or 10.00-16.00 or 11-3 and will vary according to current needs. Rotas are generally available 2-3 weeks in advance to help with the planning of home life.

Wages are paid monthly by Bacs.

Uniforms & Safety Shoes Provided.

Duties:

  • Production of high-quality beverages

along with the following duties which are not exhaustive…

  • Greeting customers, taking orders, running food, plating desserts.
  • Till duties including payments, refunds & booking deposits
  • Delivering high levels of customer service
  • Daily cleaning of all areas of the café
  • Commitment to maintaining our 5 Star hygiene and cleanliness standards

Skills:

  • Maintain a positive approach to your work always working to your full potential
  • Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions and deal calmly with any unexpected situations
  • Be able to respond to instruction and follow company policy

Essential:

  • Fully Trained Barista
  • Ensure you are punctual & well-presented daily
  • Team Player

Preferred:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or Higher (preferred but not essential)
