Delicatessen Assistant – Full Time

McCartney's of Moira, require a Full Time Member of Staff to work on our busy Delicatessen Counter.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion and flair for food to work for our award winning business. 

Place of work:  56-62 Main Street, Moira, Co. Down, BT67 0LQ

Hours: Day time hour’s 44 hours per week / 5 days Mon to Sat on a rota basis. (Off Sundays along with an alternate Mon, Tues or Wed off each week as dictated by rota). 08.00 Start Monday to Friday & 07.30 Start on a Saturday. Finish time is generally between 5.30pm and 6pm daily depending on workload. Please note all Deli staff are required to work the Sunday before Christmas each year. 4 Weeks Holiday per year plus 8 Statutory Days. Monthly Wages.

Duties:

  • Serving Customers at our Delicatessen Counter & Checkout whilst providing a high level of customer service.
  • Helping to prepare & display an extensive range of fresh and high quality produce for the Delicatessen Counter such as salads, sliced meats, Artisan Cheeses, Pies, Ready Meals etc.
  • Stock Control & Rotation, Product Display
  • Completion of Cleaning Schedules and in House Paperwork
  • Candidates should be able to manage and prioritise own workload whilst helping others.
  • Candidates should be able and willing to learn in other areas of the business & be capable of helping us maintain our high standards of 5* hygiene rating.

Skills:

  • Flair and passion for food
  • Team player
  • Good with Customers
  • Able to respond to instruction and follow company policy.
  • Basic hygiene certificate preferred but not essential
  • Experience working in a food environment preferred
  • Good Time Keeping Essential
