Famous for Sausages

George McCartney proprietor of McCartney's of Moira has been making sausages for over fifty years, entering sausage competitions all over the U.K and Ireland winning all the major competitions, including the Champion of Champions competition in Butcher's Hall in London a record three times.

Our sausages have been talked about on numerous radio programmes both local and national. We have also featured on many television programmes over the years.

NB: Our Award Winning Gourmet sausages are only available at McCartney's of Moira, but do not be surprised if you see them on the menu of some of the Top Class restaurants in the Province.

We only use natural casings and suggest that you do not prick them. Cook our sausages gently and slowly to retain their full flavour. To keep our Sausage selection interesting we may replace a variety for a period of time from one of our many recipes.

There was even talk of Chris hosting Moirafest in Moira in her honour.
